What to Expect at a Bloomfolk Retreat

There is something special about stepping away from everyday life.

The endless notifications. The overflowing to-do lists. The feeling that we're always rushing towards the next thing.

Bloomfolk Retreats were imagined as an antidote to all of that.

A chance to slow down, reconnect with nature, create with your hands, share good food around a table, and leave feeling a little lighter than when you arrived.

If you've ever wondered what a Bloomfolk retreat might feel like, here's a glimpse into the experience we're dreaming up.

Mornings That Begin Slowly

Forget alarm clocks and packed itineraries.

Instead, imagine waking to birdsong, morning light spilling through the window, and the smell of fresh coffee drifting through the house.

Our retreats are designed with space in mind. Space to linger over breakfast. Space to wander outside with a cup of tea. Space to simply be.

There is no pressure to perform, achieve or constantly be "doing". We believe some of the best moments happen when there's room for spontaneity.

Flowers, Creativity & Connection

At the heart of every Bloomfolk retreat is creativity.

Whether we're foraging for seasonal materials, creating wild floral arrangements, styling tablescapes, or exploring a new craft, our workshops are designed to be accessible, joyful and inspiring.

No previous experience is needed.

These are not classes where perfection is the goal. They're opportunities to experiment, play and reconnect with your creativity in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

Gathering Around the Table

Food has always been one of our favourite ways to bring people together.

Throughout the retreat, we'll gather around beautifully styled tables to share seasonal meals, conversations and stories.

Think long lunches in the garden. Candlelit dinners. Fresh ingredients. Good wine. The kind of meals that encourage you to stay at the table a little longer than planned.

For us, gathering is just as important as creating.

Time Outdoors

Nature is woven into everything we do.

Depending on the season and location, there may be guided walks, opportunities to forage, time spent in gardens, or simply moments to sit beneath the trees and enjoy the surroundings.

We're not interested in filling every minute of the day.

Instead, we want to create opportunities for guests to reconnect with the natural world and find inspiration in the changing seasons.

A Community of Kindred Spirits

One of the most beautiful things about retreats is the people you meet.

Many guests arrive knowing nobody else. Yet somehow, by the end of the weekend, conversations flow more easily, laughter comes naturally and friendships begin to form.

Bloomfolk Retreats are designed for anyone who feels drawn to creativity, nature, beauty and meaningful connection.

You don't need to be a florist, artist or experienced maker.

You simply need to come as you are.

Leaving With More Than You Arrived With

Of course, you'll leave with flowers, photographs and memories.

But we hope you'll leave with something else too.

A sense of calm.

A renewed connection to your creativity.

Fresh inspiration.

And perhaps a reminder that beauty can be found in the simplest of moments — a wildflower on a path, a shared meal, a thoughtfully laid table, a conversation that lingers long after it's ended.

That, to us, is the spirit of Bloomfolk.

We can't wait to welcome you.
